A new generation of critical infrastructure on the southern shore of Lake Ontario.
Lake Mariner is a major data center campus at the former Somerset generating-station property near Barker, New York. Its development joins large-scale compute facilities with substantial power-distribution and supporting infrastructure.
During my September 2026 assignment, multiple phases of the campus were under construction, including the CB-4 and CB-5 expansion area. The work took place within an active, multi-employer construction environment.

- 01
Field safety and work-zone presence
Conducted site walks across active work areas and supported day-to-day field safety needs in a complex construction environment.
- 02
Work planning and JSA review
Engaged with Ferguson field personnel around job safety analyses, task planning, and practical coordination at the workface.
- 03
Electrical construction interface
Worked alongside electrical construction personnel and observed coordination around energization activities and hazardous-energy control.
The scale is architectural.
The work is human.
A field-level perspective on how major infrastructure takes shape: through coordinated trades, evolving work areas, and disciplined execution.
